Electronic Visit Verification

The Federal Government is strengthening EVV enforcement nationwide. New York State is actively monitoring EVV compliance and visits that are not properly verified through EVV may be denied payment. Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) is mandatory for all Medicaid home visits.
WHAT IS EVV?
Electronic Visit Verification is a federally required system used to confirm that home care services are:
  • Provided on the correct date
  • At the correct time
  • In the correct location
EVV is required by federal Medicaid law and the NYS Department of Health
